Task 6: (Research) The brand

 E4 is a free-to-air channel, this means anyone with the appropriate TV signal can view the channel and its content, without needing a subscription or continuous fee. The target audience of the channel are aged between 16 and 34 years old. It combines US and UK imports, examples of US shows being The Goldberg's and The Big Bang Theory, while UK shows include The Inbetweeners and Hollyoaks. The most successful broadcast on the channel was 3.7 million views for an episode of The Inbetweeners. It had a large rebrand on 27th September 2018 and one yeah later on 14 January 2019 Channel 4 announced they had partnered with Adult Swim, a popular American programming, to air some of their shows. Its most viewed shows have been The Inbetweeners and The Big Bang Theory. Another large part of E4 between 2001 and 2010 was its coverage of Big Brother and live  footage from inside the house, it also hosted voting options and gave interactive features such as additional camera angles.
